It’s official: Herbst Datentechnik GmbH has been fully absorbed into synaforce GmbH. What began in February 2025 with the acquisition has now been finalized with the legally completed merger. For our customers, this means one thing above all: everything they’re familiar with remains the same—and there’s plenty more to come.

Through this merger, we are combining the Berlin team’s many years of hosting expertise with our own portfolio of IT security and infrastructure services under a single brand. The result: scalable cloud and hosting solutions from a single source, complemented by access to our multi-certified data centers.
Data protection, IT security, and compliance are our top priorities—as evidenced by certifications such as BSI C5 and ISO 27001.

One key promise remains intact and is even being strengthened: Your data belongs to you. synaforce consistently relies on open-source technologies and operates its infrastructure in geographically redundant, distributed data centers in Germany.

The Berlin office remains an integral part of the synaforce network and strengthens our presence throughout Germany. The former Herbst team will continue to operate entirely under the synaforce umbrella, bringing with it over 25 years of experience as a specialized hosting provider. This ensures continuity of expertise while significantly expanding our combined range of services.

Founded in 2023 through the merger of regional providers of innovative IT services and data center solutions, we are continuously expanding our position as a provider of managed cloud services for small and medium-sized businesses in German-speaking countries.
