synaforce and Proton Competition Bavaria are connected by more than just a sponsorship agreement—we are united by a long-standing partnership. We have been supporting the Bavarian Porsche racing team as a partner since 2022—and since 2023 under our current name, synaforce—actively participating in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany. What began as a strategic decision is now a living reality: customers and employees at the track, authentic experiences in the paddock, and relationships that have grown over the seasons. With the 2026 season—and the team’s rebranding as Proton Competition Bavaria—we are continuing on this path with determination.

Why Motorsports – and Why We’re Staying

At synaforce, we stand for high-performance, secure, and sustainable data center solutions “Made in Germany.” Our commitment: performance under load, uncompromising reliability, and precision engineering. There are few environments where these values are lived out as visibly and unmistakably as in professional motorsports. Every lap, every pit stop, every data packet of live telemetry analysis is essentially a miniature version of what we replicate in our data centers every day.

And we know from our own experience: it works. The past three years have shown what a race weekend can achieve that no trade show booth or webinar ever can—real encounters, real conversations, real relationships. Anyone who has followed our LinkedIn posts from past seasons has been able to witness this firsthand.

What’s more: the market is changing. AI is transforming how companies communicate, how they conduct sales, and how they acquire customers. At the same time, the value of what AI cannot replace—personal relationships, trust, shared experiences—is on the rise. This is precisely why engagement in an environment like the Porsche Cup is absolutely ideal.

Our Partner: Proton Competition Bavaria

Proton Competition is one of the world’s most established Porsche motorsports organizations—competing in the FIA WEC, at Le Mans, and in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship. The Hofkirchen facility was long known as Proton Competition Huber Racing and has been an integral part of Porsche customer racing for years. For the 2026 season, the two Proton locations—Hofkirchen and Ummendorf—have joined forces and now compete together under the name Proton Competition. The Hofkirchen location operates as Proton Competition Bavaria (P-Racing GmbH) and is responsible for the Porsche one-make cup programs.

What makes this structure unique is that within Proton Competition, drivers can progress within the same team from the Porsche Manufacturer Cups through GT3 racing all the way up to the LMP and Hypercar classes—a platform that is unparalleled in global motorsports. This is a development we have supported from the very beginning and of which we are proud.

On the 2026 schedule:

  • Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany – 8 race weekends, 16 races, including events held as part of the DTM on circuits such as the Nürburgring, Hockenheim, Spa, Zandvoort, and Imola
  • Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup – as part of the Formula 1 support program at circuits such as Monaco, Monza, Silverstone, Barcelona, and Spa
  • At least three Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, with over 18 race starts during the season
This creates a platform that combines the premium national and international F1 spheres—two worlds where we meet precisely the decision-makers who are relevant to our business. It’s more than just traditional sponsorship; it’s a partnership that highlights excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement—values that also shape our daily work.

What we hope to achieve

1. Brand presence in the right environment
Visibility on vehicles, team apparel, and in the hospitality areas of a top international team. We associate the synaforce brand with values we already stand for: performance, safety, precision, and teamwork. This isn’t branding in a vacuum—it’s a context that fits us perfectly.

2. A stage for our customers and partners
We use the season as a structured framework to invite customers, partners, and stakeholders to race weekends—including paddock access, hospitality, meet-and-greets, and team briefings. These are the moments when business relationships turn into true partnerships. No meeting room can create what an evening in the paddock can.

3. A platform for our team
For us, sponsorship is also an internal tool. It brings our sales teams, management, and executives into face-to-face encounters with customers, partners, and a high-caliber industry environment—something that is becoming rarer and therefore more valuable in an increasingly digitalized world.

Cool to know: What’s behind the Porsche Cup

  • The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) used in the series is the world’s best-selling race car—over 520 hp with a top speed of more than 280 km/h
  • The Porsche Cups are the largest GT customer racing program in the world, active in over 30 countries.

  • The Supercup has been a fixture of Formula 1 weekends since 1993 and reaches TV viewers in over 100 countries.

  • Porsche Motorsport has over 12 million followers worldwide on its own social media channels alone.

  • In 2026, Proton Competition Bavaria will be one of the most visible Cup teams of the season, fielding at least three cars and competing in over 18 races.

Comments on the Partnership

„For us, the partnership with Proton Competition Bavaria is a very deliberate strategic decision. synaforce stands for high-performance infrastructure, security, and reliability—values that must be proven every second in motorsports. But the human side is just as important to us: In a world where AI is taking on more and more tasks, personal interaction with customers, partners, and our own team continues to grow in importance. This partnership creates a platform for exactly that—and we look forward to kicking off a strong 2026 season together with Proton."
