At the end of 2025, Peter Hartl, founder and long-standing managing director of synaforce, stepped down from his operational role in the management team. For synaforce, this step marks an important milestone—and at the same time, a generational change that was prepared well in advance and stands for stability, continuity, and a clear strategic direction.
Over 30 years of entrepreneurial responsibility
Since its founding in 1992—at that time still under the name Hartl EDV GmbH & Co. KG—Peter Hartl has had a decisive influence on the company. With entrepreneurial courage, technological expertise, and high quality standards, he laid the foundation for what synaforce stands for today: the reliable operation of critical IT infrastructures, high-quality data center services, and powerful CSP and MSP services.
A visible result of this development is the company's own, highly certified data center in Hofkirchen, which went into operation in 2016. It exemplifies synaforce's commitment to operating IT infrastructures securely, sustainably, and at the highest technical level.
Growth with clear values
synaforce's growth has also always followed a clear path. The investment by Afinum in 2022 was aimed at providing targeted support for the company's further development – without losing sight of its established values and identity.
Accordingly, all existing and future companies within the group are carefully selected. synaforce pursues an integrative approach: each team and each company contributes its own strengths and contributes to the further development of a common culture. The focus is not on standardization, but on joint creation.
New management structure
The transition in management was prepared well in advance. Tobias Lehner, long-time CTO of synaforce, was officially appointed to the management board at the beginning of January 2026. Together with Andreas Braidt, CEO of synaforce GmbH, he now continues to lead the company in a new constellation.
The management team is supported by the entire C-level team. The technological focus, high service quality, and values of synaforce remain the unchanged benchmark for daily operations.
Continuity and outlook
Even after stepping down from operational management, Peter Hartl will remain associated with synaforce in an advisory capacity. At the same time, he will be focusing his entrepreneurial efforts more strongly on Multidata in the future.
With the generational change, synaforce is clearly positioned both organizationally and strategically. The company is consistently continuing on its path—with a strong team, clear values, and the commitment to continue offering customers secure, powerful, and sustainable IT solutions in the future.
