Visiting Karin Jung, Project Manager at synaforce

As a project manager in the Financial Services division at synaforce, Karin Jung is not only a valued colleague, but also a dedicated training officer and information security expert. In this article, she talks about her exciting and varied work at synaforce.

Karin Jung works in project management at synaforce, where she is responsible for the planning, coordination and monitoring of various projects. She also takes on the role of training officer at the Mainz site and ensures the training and supervision of trainees. She is also the contact person for information security issues and ensures that all guidelines and procedures are adhered to.

"My tasks are very varied, which is why my daily routine varies greatly," says Karin. "My day typically starts with a meeting with my colleagues to discuss the progress of current projects and assign tasks." Another focus of her work is communication and meetings with customers and partners. As a training officer, she is also involved in the process of recruiting and supporting trainees. Karin is currently supervising the Mainz site as part of a PCI audit, which fills her day with audit questions and subsequent follow-up work.

It's the variety that counts

A sound knowledge of project management is essential for Karin's position. Experience in information security is also important to ensure that all projects and processes meet security standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills are other important requirements as she works with different teams and departments on a daily basis.

"I'm particularly good at organizing and structuring processes," says Karin. "I really enjoy planning and coordinating complex projects, managing the various resources and ensuring that everything is completed on time and to a high standard." She finds it particularly satisfying when projects are completed successfully and everyone involved works well together. She also enjoys working with the trainees, as she is happy to pass on her knowledge and support their development.

A particular highlight in Karin's career was the introduction and maintenance of ISO standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. "It was an exciting challenge to design and document the internal processes in such a way that they met the high requirements of the certifications," she recalls.

Commitment and organization even after work

After work, Karin enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is particularly involved as team manager for her two children's volleyball team. She used to play a lot of volleyball herself and now occasionally plays with friends in a senior team. She also supports her children in practicing their sporting skills and is involved in parent work as a member of the school parents' council.
